Gedurende twaalf weken bekijken meester-kok Robert Kranenborg en chef-kok Julius Jaspers de solo- en teamopdrachten met kritisch oog. Nieuw in deze reeks is het wekelijkse ‘private dining’ waarbij voor een gezelschap van provinciegenoten wordt gekookt. Verder bereiden de deelnemende koks in de ´topclass´ typische gerechten uit de provincie in een modern jasje, is er een inspirerend onderdeel waarbij aan de hand van een roulettesysteem wordt bepaald met welke producten zij koken en wordt er simultaan gekookt waarbij le plat du chef moet worden geëvenaard. Iedere vrijdag worden twee winnaars uit de betreffende provincie geselecteerd op basis van hun smaakvolle prestaties in een Michelin sterrenrestaurant. Deze gelukkigen gaan door naar de halve finale alwaar de strijd der provincies echt losbarst.

Als de koks uit alle provincies aan bod zijn geweest, vindt in de dertiende week de halve finale plaats met 24 kandidaten uit het hele land. De zinnenprikkelende finaleweek is te volgen van maandag 21 tot en met vrijdag 25 november.

Met de iPhone-applicatie Loterij controleer je op je iPhone, iPad of iPod touch of je al rijk bent geworden. De app Loterij bevat de uitslagen van de Nationale Postcode Loterij, BankGiro Loterij, VriendenLoterij, Lotto en Staatsloterij. Door je lotnummer(s) in te vullen zie je eenvoudig of er een prijs op je lot is gevallen. Met een compleet nieuw design en allerlei leuke extra’s is de app ook tussen de loterijtrekkingen door de moeite waard om te gebruiken. In de nieuwste versie kun je bijvoorbeeld het bekende kaartspel Patience spelen, naast Gaston’s Groene Prijzenspel. In een toekomstige update zullen meer spellen van GoodGames volgen.
